Privacy Policy

Effective: March 25, 2026

The Short Version

Your journal entries never leave your phone. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data. OneQuestion. is designed to be private by default.

What Data Stays on Your Device

Everything you write in OneQuestion. — your journal entries, warm-up answers, bookmarks, and session history — is stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to any server, cloud storage, or third-party service. It is backed up only through your device's native backup system (such as iCloud backup), which you control.

What Happens When You Write

When you submit a journal entry, the text of your response and the daily prompt are sent to an AI service (xAI) through a stateless proxy server hosted on Cloudflare. This proxy exists solely to relay your request and return the AI's reflection. It does not log, store, or retain any content that passes through it. The AI provider processes your text to generate a response and does not store your journal content after the response is delivered.

What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, or any other personally identifiable information. There are no user accounts. There is no registration. There is no analytics or tracking software in the app. We do not use advertising identifiers or share data with advertisers.

Subscriptions

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives anonymized transaction data from Apple to verify your subscription — it does not receive your journal content, personal information, or device data beyond what Apple provides for purchase verification.

Crisis Resources

If the AI detects language indicating a crisis, the app displays mental health resources (988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, Crisis Text Line). This detection happens within the AI response — no additional data is collected or reported. OneQuestion. does not contact emergency services or any third party on your behalf.

Children

OneQuestion. is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
